About Apon Nibas Briddhasrom

Apon Nibas Briddhasrom is the brain child of Sayeda Selina Shelly who fought for the rights and privileges of the women in Bangladesh from her early life. During her campaign throughout life, she saw the sufferings of the oppressed women in the society. From her observations of the sufferings she decided to look after the oldaged women rescued from the streets collecting food materials from door to door initially. Since it’s establishment in January 2010, Apon Nibas Briddhasrom-an establishment of Apon Nibas Briddhasrom Welfare Society works for the welfare of helpless and other oppressed women of the society. It is registered as Trust in Tejgaon Circle and  under Society Registration Act 1860 is registered in the office of the Registar of joint stock companies and firms-Bangladesh.

Most of the women are picked up from the streets of Dhaka and other places of the country and some are procured through police/hospital authorities.
